Logo Contest + GIVEAWAY

Intro

Hello everyone! I'm currently saving for a new build which I hope to actually buy sometime near the end of the summer. The name of said build will be Exabyte. I wanted to make this feel special since it's my first really monster build, so I'm adding a logo! This will be the desktop background and also go on the side of the case (on a vinyl sticker). There's just one problem- I can't do design or art. So I'm turning to the community!

The Challenge

Your challenge is to make a logo for the build which

a) Looks good as a desktop background, and

b) Can go on a vinyl sticker smaller than the Corsair Carbide 400c's side panel (15" by 15" approx. size of the sticker), and

c) Incorporates the name of the build (Exabyte), and

d) Is futuristic, and finally

e) Looks flippin' awesome!

The Prize

Since this system is gonna make me broke , the prize is fairly small- a $20 Steam gift card. Still, it should be a nice incentive to do well.

The nitty-gritty

Winning designs will:

a) Have one (1) 16:9 desktop background image and one (1) image for the side of the case.

I will PM the winner with gift card information.

Some tips

The theme of this build is black and red, so make the logo match!

The build itself, following the styling of the 400c, will be fairly understated and not outrageous -->GAMER<-- looking. Designs should reflect this.

As mentioned above, it needs to look futuristic and cool.

When you say futuristic do you mean "matrix futuristic" with like circuit boards and stuff or more something modern and sleeker? (ofc following the red/black scheme)
Also do you want a more an icon logo (like apple, HP, Omen etc etc) or more a rectangular one (like microsoft full text, facebook full text etc)

More modern, I would say. And I’d like the logo to have the build name in full, so rectangular. Congrats on winning the gift card as you’re the only person who said anything. Thanks!

You have to make the giveaway interesting, you can literally make a logo online so people (including me) are not going to waste time entering this when you can just spend 5 minuets yourself making one. And another reason people are not entering this is because the prize doesn't link up properly, we have a logo competition yet the prize is a $20 Steam voucher. Eh a Steam voucher for a logo competition?

My thoughts were that people might find this an interesting and fun challenge, even if you don't. 

 

If you have an alternate suggestion for a prize, I'm open to suggestions.

I need to note that you need to imagine everything white being transparent or whatever color the background would be (if its on a side panel or so would be transparent) 
Also the binary above says EXA and below BYTE...

 

I'm open to any adjustments (like, don't like the red in the binary... or could you make other parts of the text red... or don't like the negative B in the middle or all over don't like the design)

This is great, however the side panel of the case is black so everything black would blend in. Perhaps you could make it all red and the B black surrounded by another color? 

I love the text itself, that is really good. However, the binary seems just a little tacky imo. 

These are just my opinions, you know more about this than I do. In other news, someone on Reddit also entered. So you do now have at least one competitor (honestly though both submissions have blown me away so far).

That is much better. Love your ideas here. One more thing, if you can do a small E or something for the side of the case that's red (going back to the issues i mentioned with the coloring of my side panel) I'd really appreciate it. There is one other person who entered so I guess once you finish I'll decide. Thanks again for participating!

YES! This is exactly what I'm looking for. I'm going to ask the one person who hasn't submitted if they're going to, and then based on that I'll make a decision. I know I say this every time, but I cannot thank you enough.

I was hoping people would find this to be a fun challenge rather than a commission. Hopefully you can understand that if I were hiring someone to do this, I would be paying them more. The difference here is that no one has to enter.

The results are in! I'm posting this to both the LTT forums and Reddit. I had two AWESOME submissions:

These both blew me away, and it was a really difficult decision between the two. Let's go over some things from both designs:

The detail put into this was staggering. The custom text was fantastic and, once you removed the binary, looked really sleek and modern. Excellent design.

VertigoDesigns:

I LOVE that E you did for an icon. It looked really modern and cool, and fit exactly with the look I was going for. 

 

So, with that in mind- though this was a difficult decision- I chose TheEvann33 as the winner. The full text, again, was great. Although VertigoDesign's icon looked awesome, his/her text just wasn't on the same level of detail and cool factor. I'd like to thank both of you endlessly for entering. Congrats to the winner! I'l DM you with payment info, etc.
