hi,

I am new to system builds and don't know anything about overclocking. Can someone guide me to get a base overclock for my cpu.

these are my specs

CPU: Ryzen 3 1200

MB: Asus prime b350 plus

RAM: corsair 8gb kit 2400mhz

GPU: Asus gtx 1050ti Expedition edition OC

PSU: corsair VS550w

STORAGE: 1TB WD Blue

Don't bother. You won't get above 4GHz

Okay, that's like saying don't bother overclocking your 7700k because you will never reach 5.5GHz... Any boost in the speed at which a CPU runs is free performance. There is no reason he shouldn't overclock.

 

For you OP, just go to YouTube and search "Ryzen 3 1200 overclock guide". I am sure there are countless videos with great information for newbies. :)  

GPU: XFX RX 7900 XTX

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

set voltage to 1.4 or 1.39 in ryzen master and see if its stable at 3.9 ghz in a prolonged stresstest. see if 4 ghz works and then lower voltage till its no longer stable. thats all i have to say. 

 

Edit: i am by no means a profesional overclocker and thats all i did with my 1500x
