i5-3320M On VM's

Go to solution Solved by pinaksaha,

run LAMP/LEMP stack. Ubuntu 16.04 server. Need to be able to run vagrant and virtual box. Virutalbox config being 1 thread with 2 GB of RAM per instance max of 2-3 instances.

would i5-3320M  with 8GB ram be able to run a few(1-2) virtualboxes without noticing lag? Asking because considering buying a Lenovo thinkpad T430 but not sure if it would be great for web development. My workload is heavily depended on ability run VM's and spawn different environments on the fly.

And what are those VMs supposed to do? Which OS? Which applications do they need to run? Sounds like you need something a bit beefier than a 6 year old Thinkpad.
