Recently I started to read some information in Google about DVI,HDMI,VGA,Display Port and some guy said this: " The biggest problem with DVI is that it doesn’t support HDCP encryption by default, so if your hardware only includes DVI ports, you may not be able to playback full HD Blu-rays and other HD content. " . I really can't understand what that means..Does he say that If I'm trying to connect my old PC with bad video card which doesn't even support full HD and some old LCD monitor with 1280x1024 resolution with DVI cable to my 4K TV, I can't watch the videos or movies in HD resolution, because it doesn't have HDCP encryption? Just I don't understand how come we can't watch full HD Blu-rays via DVI cable, because of missing HDCP encryption, but in some forums people say that DVI can do up to 1920×1080 at 144 Hz or 2560×1600 at 60 Hz (using Dual-Link DVI)?Obviously I'm misunderstanding something

You can view Full HD content, just not directly from a blu-ray disc.

DVI-D and the old standards of HDMI that can do up to 1920x1200 @ 60Hz are basically the same, and DVI can even carry audio on some devices. Most GPUs that have DVI support HDCP over DPI, though I'd need to kn ow your card to be sure. I have one all the way back to the NVIDIA 9xxx series that does at least.
Where it get wonky is analog DVI, (DVI-I). But I wouldn't worry about it if you're adapting to HDMI.

So if you can't do HDCP, you can do anything you want that doesn't have copy protection. So playing a BD from a legit player on PC- you can still like just play some regular file on VLC or MPC. It's really a bigger problem to have a TV that doens't support it because devices like the PS3 must use it and the ps4 if you want to have BD playback, but that can be stripped by some simple HDMI devices.

Well whats the purpose?

I prefer higher refresh rate, so I only use dvi-d.

DVI-D supports only 24 bit colors(16.7 million colors). If you are going to use really good monitor with 1.07 billion colors(30 bit),you will need HDMI.HDMI is like DVI,but it has more features and it's better for better monitors.I will recommend you to read

Only if the card and monitor both support it.
Like I said if you want color, go for it. Im not gonna use any of my monitors at 60hz for the sake of color even if they could do it. I use them for gaming, so its a simple choice.

HDMI has been capable of 144hz since 1.4 (as long as both the monitor/gpu support it -- which they do on anything modern). So when paired with modern hardware, HDMI is all around superior.

Yea like I said. If it supports it. As op didn’t mention one piece of hardware, it would all be an assumption.
