Just got the Dell 7577 yesterday. It has a GTX 1050 Ti in it, and I'm okay for it's performance. Yet I wanted to play something more decent in the future, so, any good recommendations for an Thunderbolt eGPU enclosure? I heard that some enclosures have compatibility problems, so I need some good ones that works well.

Gaming Laptop Specs (Dell 7577):

Intel Core i7-7700HQ @ 2.8GHz (4C8T)

Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti 4GB (stock)

8GB DDR4 2400MHz

128GB SSD + 1TB HDD

Windows 10 Home

IIRC right now it's not even really worth it, unless some companies come out with some very cheap enclosures.

Also, I believe you see a decent performance hit when using an eGPU, to the point you'd have to get a 1070 to get 1060ish performance.

Yeah I found using an eGPU enclosure with a laptop that already has a dGPU significantly effects compatibility. Even though my Razer Blade 14 is technically capable of using an eGPU, it didn't work very well and would often cause bluescreens. Just keep on rocking with the 1050Ti for now and upgrade your laptop when it doesn't cut it for you anymore.
