I'm looking for a gaming laptop to take on the go with me. I have a dedicated rig, but I cant really move it around, and if I'm pulling a 24hr shift or going to a friends house, I'm left without anything to game with. Really, just need something to play league and skyrim on. I'm in the US. I don't want to go over $1500, and id prefer to stay closer to the $1000 range. I'm not super worried about power consumption, as I normally have an outlet available to me.

Dell's G series (or maybe their Inspiron 15 7000 gaming series if it's significantly cheaper). I know HP and Lenovo have an equivalent but I don't know what they're series is called :P

I'm more partial to Dell though. They seem to be the more conservative with design, they don't shove a ton of crapware (just the Dell branded stuff that is more for system maintenance and creature comforts), and as far as I've looked into, one of the few companies that actually cares about battery life.

This is a good thread to watch. I'm also looking into getting a laptop. I'm leaning towards the inspiron 7000 as well. Aside from the price I'm also after the warranty and on site service.

I'm open to getting something else if the quality is better. Is warranty something you are considering on getting as well? Does warranty even matter nowadays?

How long before you'd replace it?
