Alrighty! This is my first build for myself, I've built others but that's mostly from my computer repair class. Christmas is coming up and these are the parts that are going to hopefully be here by then. Are there any suggestions/comments you guys have on it? It's for gaming and slight programming use:

Case-Rosewill Blackhawk Ultra Super Tower

CPU-Intel Core i7 4770k @ 3.5GHz

RAM-Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB @ 1600MHz

MOBO-Gigabyte GA Z87X UD4H

GPU-ASUS GTX 780 3BG

PSU-Corsair CXM600M 600W

HDD-Western Digital WD Blue 1TB

SSD-Intel DCS3500 120GB

Monitor-?

Keyboard-?

If you guys have good kb to suggest, I'd like it to be under $140USD and the monitor under $300. Thanks guys! Oh, yeah, 2 monitors is preferable.

No point getting the i7 for gaming.

What's your total budget?

No mass storage?

Not really with BF4 + mantle coming it is not, and tbh i have a 4930k for gaming/converting videos so you know that i7 is not that overkill aha.

he is true about the mass storage 2tb would be better :).

monitor look at a nice ips 1080p monitor or maybe a 2k monitor if u really want toor buy two 1080p ips monitor instead of 1 2k monitor :).

keyboard could look at a corsair k70 with red's possible.

I second WM. You don't need an i7 here. Maybe an i5?

Also, any reason why you specifically selected the K variant? If you're not going to overclock, maybe you should consider the non-K processors.

Wooden is right.  The i7 is overkill for gaming and programming will see very little benefit (if any at all) from hyperthreading.  As for the keyboard, just about any great keyboard will fit that budget.  You could try a Ducky Shine 3, Logitech G710+, Corsair K90, or even a Das Keyboard.

If mantle is such a big deal, the OP is better off with a 290 and 8350 instead of a 780 and i7.

@WoodenMarker I know but my girlfriend comes over and she loves editing a lot so the i7 is just in case, The budget is about $2k but that's also with the blu ray, and wireless card. I plan on getting more storage in the future,

Unless it's some hefty editing, an i5 is far from weak and is fine for editing.

not really cause they said it would still work excellent with i7's, tbh amd apu's are for first builds with people on a small budget who need performance :3

The 8350 is not an APU.

It would work better with the 8350 due to having 8 cores instead of 4 cores with HT.

What's wrong with AMD?  He's building a rig primarily for gaming a programming.  Something that AMD chips do very well at.  I smell a fan boy...

I was eyeing that Ducky Shine 3 but Newegg sold out. I'll probably end up getting that though,

I may overclock. I just said @ stock because I wasn't 100% sure I would.

I believe NCIX has them as well as mechanicalkeyboards.com
