can I get any thought's on this router/firewall.  It looks like a small computer with network adapters that I can install pfsense on.  I think it still needs ram and an m.2 ssd.  New to all of this just looking for a direction to go.

Its hard to say one way or another with these cheap network appliance units. The J1900 is pretty common in these types of units, and will easily do NAT and firewall at gigabit speeds in PFSense. It will slow down depending on what else you configure it to do (like Snort, Squid, etc). I recommend either buying one that has good user reviews (that don’t seem to be made ip) or buy a unit from Netgate directly, the makers of PFSense. It might be a bit more expensive but you can be sure of the quality.
