Laptop to desktop

Would like to know if anyone has converted a laptop into a desktop? I have a ROG G750jw currently and kinda wanna convert it over to a desktop since we dont use it as a normal laptop. Any suggestions for this?

Uhh... if you really want that, connect it to an external monitor. Or just sell it and buy a proper desktop.

Convert it ... how? I mean, you can certainly get a nice vertical mounting stand for it, then just place it on your desk behind your monitors and hookup keyboard, mouse, monitors, speakers, etc. to essentially turn it into a "desktop" PC.

So. Basically what i would like to do is completely remove everything from thr laptop case. Put it into a tower and output the display to a monitor. If that makes any sense. Its a great laptop. Jist over heats to fast and i kinda hope something like this would solve that. Just curious to see if its possible to do easily. Or is this going to be a huge pain

It's very complicated and it's kinda a pain in the ass. Messing with the heatsinks or the battery power is not recommended.

Just like hide it somewhere and connect a monitor?

And this is why id rather ask on a computer fourm over google lol. I searched it on youtube and they made it look like. Disconnect 2 wires. Run this converter and poof it works lol
