I hope someone else has had this problem with Discord

So I've recently got into using discord to talk to my friends when playing games but I always have to run it through my browser because of this weird problem. Whenever I start discord it will run and open on my main page, then crash and never get past the loading to open. I thought it was a problem with my boot drive where it is installed and I ended up needing to replace it after bringing it to a computer shop for a diagnostic, but the problem still persists after replacing the drive. I've looked on other forums and the methods of deleting roaming files and other stuff just hasn't worked for me, does anyone have any suggestions? I'm thinking maybe a bios flash or update might help but if anyone has any suggestions I'd try that first.

That's odd... have you tried installing a previous version of Discord?

Can you post full specs. Just use the desktop version of discord. Chrome often causes problems with games because it uses so much ram.

Check the event viewer and possibly remove and re-installing it discord.

I have looked for it, but i cant find a download for anything but the most recent version on their site, if you had a link for older versions that would be really helpful

It won't be a version thing. Try the beta version.

And thats what I'm having problems with, the desktop discord crashes on startup.

Remove discord from startup. Also in discord settings, prevent it from minimizing to system tray. I think it's under general settings.
