I just picked up a CRT TV and I brought it home in my mini-van. As I was driving the TV fell from the vertical position to the horizontal position when turning (in the trunk). I took it into my house and the TV started and worked with no visible damage done. Is it possible that some component inside of the TV might have broken? Note that there was a very loud crash sound when the television fell which caused me to think that the glass was shattered although it was not.

Hope this information post was helpful  ?,

There are lots of things that could have broken, but if it's still operating correctly I doubt any of them sustained harm.  If they had, I think it would be very obvious.

Some CRT's are vastly superior to most LCD's today in terms of picture quality. Though thats pritty much limited to monitors.

CRT TV's have there uses today though, they are very good for creating Retro gaming systems as you dont have to get converters and scaling devices to work with modern TV's.

Infact most older gaming consols (PS2 and older), look better on an old CRT than they do on a modern LCD due to the above fact.

OP , if it works, dont worry, those thing are way more durable than modern TV's. Hell when i was a kid i used to kick my smaller TV (the front) when i got annoyed with a game :P
