Looking into prebuilt

dude, do 1 stick of 8gb ram. this way later on you can add another stick of 8gb and make it 16 gb.

If you only plan on doing 8GB, so 2x4.  You can always and another 2x4 to make 16.  Dual-channel is ALWAYS better than single-channel.  Other than that, try to swing for 16GB out of the gate if you can.

First off I know how to build  computers the problem is gpu/ram prices please don't suggest I should build as normally I would

I'm looking to upgrade my computer but I am not sure where to buy a computer from so suggestions would be nice.

I agree prices now are worse than what they were in 2011. I still think you are better off building a new PC. You have a quad core and could easily build an 6 core ryzen build for a decent price. The thing is with building you get to control how much you purchase a month or a week because the parts are individual. It is often intimidating to buy a pre built computer. If anything i would look into financing, cyber power pc has a Ryzen 8 core processor with a good high end gfx card for  $1,089 or as low as $96 a month if you lease.

I am looking into a new PC myself and I was looking at pre built but alot of these pre built PC's have 8GB DDR4 ram for almost $1000. I can make a somewhat similiar build myself with 16GB of ram, a somewhat similiar CPU and GPU and be just fine. While also saving myself atleast $300.

Basically if i had to advise on what you should do in order it would be this:

1) build yourself

2) finance through cyberpower pc or someone similar

3) make it rain money and buy a prebuilt pc

4) get a console

I have a ps4 dont use it much lol

I looked intio nzxt letbld and I think I may go with that no ryzen cpu but thats fine

as for my case Im not sure why the pcie dont align with the slots its weird as my case is a defijne r4 and my motherbord is a z87-gd65

the truth is I really dont want to spend 600 on a gpu  if it was msrp I would fine but 200 extra is a bit much

If you dont want to spend $600 on a gpu directly, then i would do the following.

I would finance through cyberpower pc or ibuypower or someone similiar. Monthly payments vary but if you are good with money then this is a good choice.

If you are going to buy a prebuilt PC and not finance it. Then youll have to do some sacrifices, i;d look for a prebuilt PC with a new or excellent graphics card (GTX 1080 or something) with a crappy processor (quad core or lower). The reason i say this is graphics cards can be more expensive than CPU's. So after you get a PC like this you can buy a new CPU a few months later.

For example, right now i am looking at a cyberpower pc with a 1080 graphics card, but the processor is quad core. its only $800. This isnt the best example but you really have to look. Im not sure if there is a microcenter in your area, but they have a powerspec (prebuilt) pc with a Ryzen 7 8 core processor with a gtx 1060 for $899. However the case is super ugly.

Liquid cool is a tad overrated. Not nessecary unless you are doing a 8 core processor. I would also find a cheaper case. Id recommend the Masterbox Lite case for $29 if you are going with a Micro ATX build: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119324&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker, LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Yeah, like i said i would down price and find a cheaper case and put that money toward more ram. With a cheaper case you could put the remainder of the money toward 16gb of ram for $40 more.

Here:

See if you like this. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3yFw6s

This should be a good one for ya and $200-$300 cheaper than the one you have. I know you dont like to spend money on expensive parts, so i would look into AMD stuff first before intel or nvidia. Like the one i linked above.

With the build i just linked to you there is 1 stick of 8gb ram, so you can always add another 1 stick of 8 gb ram later on if need be. Instead of the 2 4gb sticks you have in your build.

Not to mention the motherboard my build has AMD crossfire support (which means two AMD graphics cards can be applied) so if the Rx 580 is a little pricy for you could always go two cheaper cards if youd like. For example the the RX 560's

If you only plan on doing 8GB, so 2x4.  You can always and another 2x4 to make 16.  Dual-channel is ALWAYS better than single-channel.  Other than that, try to swing for 16GB out of the gate if you can.
