I am looking to do a new build and am looking for advice.

My current rig:

My main question is, with the rig I have now should I just update what I have or start new? If upgrade what should I upgrade?

For a brand new build I am not sure if I should do it now (in the next few months) or if I should wait.

Any advice would be appreciated!

1. Budget & Location

My preferred budget is around $2,000 - $3,000 (in the next few months) or less would be nice too. I am located in the US.

2. Aim

Gaming and a coding workstation

3. Monitors

I have one 4k Asus ROG monitor and a cheapo ACER 1080p monitor. I would like to switch out the cheapo monitor with a ASUS 1440p high refresh in the furture

Just grab a Ryzen 8 core or 1950X if you want 16 cores on the cheap, the 1950X is going to involve a new case and power supply as well.

Wait for next generation GPUs to come out and then upgrade to whatever is faster than a 1080ti

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

Would you recommend just using the stock cooler or getting a new one or just reuse the one I have?
