Hi,

i have made some other posts regarding  which gpu i should buy i was set on going with the 6GB 1060 but unfortunately i just can't afford it at the moment. I am looking to game at 1080p with stable 60fps medium to high playing  RTS,Indie,AAA games ect. my budget is around £200 i can not spend anymore. i have two options at the moment 1050 ti 4gb or 1060 3gb at around £160-£200 (ish) respectively. what one you recommend on me buying or are there any others that you would recommend in this price range.

Specs:

CPU: I5 6500

RAM: Hyperfury x 16gb DDR4 @  2133HZ

MOBO: Asus Intel Lga1151 H110 Plus DDR4

PSU  Corsair 600w bronze certified non modular

Thank you

gtx 1060 3gb is better than the gtx 1050 ti. So buy it if it's in your budget.

i'd recommend to look for second hand gpu's. the 1060 3gb is just a card made for more profit for nvidia because the cheaped out on the vram, (which you should avoid doing). if there are no 1060 6GB models second hand in your area then i'd go for a 1050ti 4GB

maby a AMD GPU?

You could try (if you can figure out the numbering scheme :P) to find one used.

The Bitcoin CrazeTM has caused even used low-end AMD cards to explode in price.

The 970 is a good card, I found one for $200 USD (about £142) on my local craigslist page. I imagine if you looked you could find a great steal (some idiot sold a 1060 6GB for $150).

Send me the nearest big city you live to and I can do some digging for a budget card on your local classifieds.

I'll have a look at used cards. Don't really trust buying used pc parts though. I have had a look and that's how much i'm seeing them on ebay for the 970 about 170 is the most expensive I've found at the moment.

Linus had a video on how use affects GPU performance, and he tested no difference between the two cards. Lemme find the video.

I was in the same situation and chose the 1050ti.

1050TI is a workable card but with his budget you could get so much better!

Even the GTX 680 performs similarly to that card in performance. At sooo much cheaper (used).

780 TI would be a bit  too expensive (maybe, idk, I don't know the british price points), but the 780 would be great! Why not a 970?

Im found 780ti to same price an 780, but the 970 is a little more expensive in Quality/Price, Im found better an 780-780ti in nvidia, and 290x or 290 in amd
