I recently deployed a Nas4Free box on my network for use as a home NAS. I want to know how I would be able to set up a VPN to allow access to the NAS from anywhere (hotel, coffee shop, work, etc.). I have an extra PC collecting dust that could be used if necessary.

Thanks in advance.

NAS4Free is really good, but it's quite a boring distro. (this is why I like it, storage *should* be boring)

You can do this on the NAS4Free box but you might have to get your hands dirty if there isn't a plugin for it. It's mostly FreeBSD but there are a few weird things being that it's embedded. pfSense is another option.
