Hello guys,

I have been using my PC for a few years now and I am starting to feel that my GPU is not cutting it anymore nowadays so I am thinking about upgrading it.

My current specs are:

Case: CoolerMaster Silencio 550

CPU: i7 4770

GPU: GTX 760

MB: Asus Z87-Plus

PSU: Enermax NAXN ENP500AGT 500W

RAM: Dual Channel 16GB DDR3 1600MHz

SSD: 240GB Kingston

HDD#1: 2TB 7200rpm black WD

HDD#2: 1TB 7200rpm green WD

Repro: Genius SW-G2.1 1250

Monitor: Samsung C32HG70 (1440p 144hz FreeSync2)

I actually am planning on doing a whole new system in about a year and half or two, so I am not necessarily looking for the best of the best right now, since I am comfortable with the idea of just buying that kind of gpu in that year and half to two again and reselling what I'll be getting now.

So for now I'd just like to get new (or maybe even second hand one? I never had second hand component so I do not know if that's a good idea, especially with all those mining 24/7 used gpus around due to that damn crypto) gpu without having to get better PSU or anything. I am not even sure if I should go for a higher GTX or try going with Radeon for the FreeSync compatibility with my monitor.

The budget I am looking at is like 500-550 euros/625-700 USD.

CPU: Ryzen 7800X3D; CPU Cooler: Noctua U12A chromax + NA-HC8 chromax; MOBO: Gigabyte B850M Aorus Elite Wifi6e; CASE: A3-Matx Lian Li Dan Case Wood/Mesh edition; PSU: SF1000 (2024); RAM: 2x16 GB DDR5 Kingston Fury Beast 6000/30cl Expo kit; SSD#1: 1 TB 9100 PRO; SSD#2: 2TB 990 PRO; GPU: RTX 5080 Asus x Noctua; Case fans: 1x A12x25 G1, 2x A14x25 G2 chromax; OS: Win 11 Pro

1. A new power supply. The one you have is pretty much a rebranded Corsair CX500 v2, which isnt nice at tier 5. Might as well buy PSU you will use in the future, since it can be reused.

tier 3 or above is considered good btw

2. Graphics card. Since you wont be using it for all that long, an ex-mining card isnt that bad of a deal as long as it still has warranty. At most you will have to deal with worn fans, in which as simple as a case fan tied to the heatsink will do (or you could send it back for repairs)
