Just noticed something

Is that normal? Thats the PCIE cable and its been unplugged since I can remember (2 years now when I got the comp), it just dangles there and I'm just scouting around for the reasons of my computers huge performance drop lately (particularly in loading times but I'll be getting an SSD to mitigate this) so could this be it?

 

its a GTX 960 2GB btw, the powersupply is a 500 W one.

Defragging the storage drive should help.

SSD just to stick games on it and programs which I use on a daily basis,

do I need to buy extra SATA 3 connector cables and PSU cables?

PNY CS900 120GB is much faster and 3 pounds more.

 

You do need an extra SATA cable to connect the drive to the motherboard (make sure it has a spare SATA 3 6gbps header). As for power cables, it can use the SATA connector most PSUs come with in multiples.
