40c is low. The stock fans perform well and are only worth replacing for acoustics or aesthetics.

If you want quieter fans, NF-F12's are good. https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/cFwqqs/noctua-nf-f12-pwm-chromaxblackswap-550-cfm-120mm-fan-nf-f12-pwm-chromaxblackswap

Yeah used some noctua's on a previous build. Might just check a couple out! It is getting noisy when it ramps up under load and it's noticeable. Thanks for the replies peeps! Will invest in a  couple payday!

Hi folks,

Just moved up to a 8700k and it runs hot....my h100 is like 40 degrees under 50% load. I'm gonna delid the sucker and I think that would help but in the meantime.....what are the best fans for push that will help?

I've found the standard fans ramp up but are noisy. I don't mind some rgb bling. Any suggestions appreciated!

If you want quality fans, that rules out Corsair and many LED fans that are more show.

Go Noctua, Be Quiet or the Venturi line from Fractal.
