So I bought a Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler, which comes with a tube of thermal paste.

I have heard it is good, but I also have a Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra thermal paste. Which one should I use?

btw: The CPU is a i5-4670K

Your profile pic is very distracting.

Just use the thermal paste they send you, they don't send it with the cooler if it was crap now would they?

Well actually.....

I would just pick up some good thermal paste and use it for future things. Arctic Silver 5, MX-4, etc. Good thermal paste can actually dramatically improve temperatures.

Just to note for my 212 the difference between the paste it comes with and my arctic silver 5 was a whopping 11 degrees

I just use MX-4 because it's not expensive, one of the best( If not the best), and it works like a charm.

Ok, thank you :)

I'll probably use the Coolermaster one or maybe just try them both and see what temps I get :)

Stick with the paste that came with your Hyper 121 EVO, or grab some something like the MX-4 (as somebody already suggested), GELID GC Extreme, Antec Formula 7...or the plain old Arctic Silver 5. The difference between them won't be massive - typically a few degrees Celsius.

The "Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra" is no ordinary "paste." It's pretty much semi-corrosive liquid metal. It doesn't work wonders, but again, it's a few degrees better.

From what I have read, every time you apply a new coat of this "thermal compound," you need to sand the CPU IHS down to smooth it out...because the material is semi-corrosive.

It's actually typically 1-2 degrees of difference and at best a few degrees.
