i am currently in two minds on upgrading my pc current specs

AMD Athlon IIx4 620 2600mhz

8gb ram 1333

AMD radeon r7 200 4gb ddr3

i need to upgrade but do i try find a better am3 CPU like AMD fx 9590 8 core 4.7 GHz black edition

or is it worth the money to upgrade to tread ripper

and as for mobo and graphics card and ram i'm just not sure what the best i can get for my needs i spend a lot of time on my PC and i just play games like Gta Minecraft so on if i choose my first option and stay with am3 i can do so near immediately i have 500 euro to upgrade but should i hold on and wait to buy option two witch will be two months down the line and my allocated budget will be 2500 euro excluding tax shipping etc most of my stuff would have to come from UK or Europe as i cant find many suppliers in Ireland i know i am asking a lot of questions and i really appreciate any feedback if i have not made anything clear please ask and ill try reiterate further thanks for taking the time to read this

I'd go for somewhere in the middle. Save up a month, get 1000-1500 euro, save up the rest for other things or upgrade in 2 or 3 years.

honestly threadripper would not be a good fit for you(lack luster price to performance for gaming). also am3 is a super dead platform. you best bet would be to spend like 1500 euro and upgrade to something like a ryzen  r5 2600 and a gtx 1060 6gb or a rx 580 8gb if you can get it at a reasonable price.

really ryzen never even came across my mind and r5 not 7 and would a 1080 not be a better choice  i am just curious now so i'm going in completely the wrong direction then i have always had a amd card and i would not mind trying Nividia for a change and although its not required i would like a little over kill for performance not that i need it just in case i do
