Tonight I ran across Jayz doing a live stream of PC Building Simulator from Steam and figured what the heck I'll download it.  At one moment I found myself with a live stream on one screen and the other trying to install a simulator about pc diagnosis only to be trouble shooting my broken steam library. I was a little upset and frustrated because at that moment I didn't want the real thing I wanted it simulated. lol, I find that amusing on a level or two.

Anyways I got a kick out of the game and played for a couple hours, I'm curious to see how detailed it get's as you level up.  I know the game is in early access but it's doing an acceptable job so far.  When I got to the point that I had to determine if a job should be accepted or rejected due to potential loss I got frustrated, saved and exited.  It's late so I was done anyways.

Cool game though, I would suggest it for anyone with $20 they don't mind throwing out for an interesting experience.

Audio go Brrrrrr

I saw jack spidicey play this game a few months ago. Looked pretty cool for testing builds and seeing how parts would fit together in a VR style environment.

I think it’d be more useful if sites like Newegg or pc part picker had a web version of this. Personally I’m not in the market for a cool looking pc as mine works just fine aside from Windows.

Isn't the point of the sim to build a PC cheaply in a no-pressure environment? I'm guessing though that the game is aimed at those who never actually made a computer.

It's actually a sim of running a PC repair shop.  You have to manage orders and deliveries, a budget, utilities, rent upgrades all while keeping an inventory for quicker turn arounds.  It's pretty addictive, the three times I've played it so far have been for 2-3 hours each time.  The part I'm finding a little tough is which jobs to accept and which to reject, I got one where the customer wanted a cpu upgrade and wanted the ram upgraded to 4gb, I took a chance on it thinking it had a celeron due to the sub-4g of ram and when I opened it up the thing had a 1500x and the price he offered would have been a loss even if I had a higher cpu leveled up.  So I closed it back up with the 2g stick and all and cancelled the job.

I saw that game on steam recently. It's like car mechanic simulator for computers.
