I am trying to build a pc but I am having trouble deciding which part I want because every single is so good. Therefore, I would like your(the community) suggestion/guides on a build. I want a variety of builds from cheap to expensive.

Specifications on build

  • My budget is ranging from $2000 to $3000 CAD dollars
  • There must be a colour scheme
  • If possible(but I really want), contain RGB Lighting
  • The Case should have a glass panel so I can the RGB lighting/liquid cooling
  • The processor must be liquid cooled and I want to see the liquid in the liquid cooling. Also, if possible, liquid cool the graphics card
  • There will be overclocking
  • Minimum 1-2 TB space. If there is room in the budget, add a SSD.
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-8700K(preferred)
  • Ram: 16 GB
  • Graphics card: Any GTX 1080 Ti. Avoid the founder’s edition since it’s never on sale.
  • A cheap but decent monitor
  • I will be gaming or do university work

If you want more info, you have until 10 pm est to ask. Next time, I will check will be 8 am est.

Edit:

  • A cheap but decent monitor: I don't want a $1000 monitor. The monitor should have a refresh rate of 120 and around 27"

Edit 2:

  • I know there are next-gen GPU coming out. I will probably use that GPU instead of the GTX 1080 TI

Something is very off here...

I'd wait for Ryzen 2 on April 19th and grab one of those 8 cores most likely

you also shouldn't spend money on a GPU right now because next gen cards are coming soon enough. Find something used/cheap or live on a $300 1060 6GB, it's not too horribly overpriced anymore.

Also  just get a 1950X because why not?

Pixio and Nixeus make 1440p 144hz IPS free-sync displays at $399 but they're all out of stock for now I think.

I know the next gen cards are coming out. I will be buying the parts in july/august. I just planning ahead and trying to store cash.

Where is the rgb stuff?

If you want to waste money on RGB fans that's on you lol

But there's no point in planning any PC right now then

If you don't have much of a budget buy a $500 or less R5 2400G APU system and just toss in a GPU later. The APU will be pretty alright for lite 1080p gaming.

Ryzen 2 just gets you 8 cores instead of 6 and a soldered IHS, for the average AAA game it's going to be at 110fps if it's 10% faster than current Ryzen, vs 120+fps for Coffee lake

Could also just save $100 and get the Ryzen 6 core as well.
