Yeah.

Something seems fishy. Giving away 100,000 physical copies of the game + shipping costs AT LEAST some $1,500,000. You want me to expect some unknown company is actually doing that?!

Could easily be all fake and just a way to steal my address, name, and other information for identity theft.

Believe what you want, but I personally think it's legit.

Well excuse me for not being gullible enough to give out my personal information online to just anyone claiming they are giving "free" things. Otherwise I would have given all my confidentials to all the websites who claimed they are giving "free ipads" or whatever.

If in the future I see actual evidence that these guys are legitimate, then I will reconsider.

Vindola, actually we budgeted $2.1M for shipping and physical game disk costs. The reason for us giving away so many copies is that we are a new game company, and we need to build trust with users before they actually fork over any money for the game.

Would love the opportunity to build your trust, and feel free to check back on the site periodically, and hopefully grab a copy.

Okay, there is a game company who are giving away away 100k of their game completely free to anywhere in the world (they even pay shipping)! The game is only for PS3/PS4/X360/XONE but you can order all platforms. You can keep ordering to get LOTS of the game. The game is going to be released in early 2015, though. You may even wanna do what I did, and that is get carried away, create a macros and order around 1000 copies (I'm sorry D;)

Anyways, here's the link! :D

http://www.killtheinfected.com/product/1st-wave/

While I really appreciate the post on the forum to spread the word, but really? The script for auto-ordering? While we won't be sending a single person 1,000 copies, I'll be more than happy to send you ten of each platform for you to give out to your friends and family. If you happen to post a few more promos though, you might be in the running to snag a few console skins and such :)

Thanks for the shoutout!

Well if it's true, good on you. But to be honest, I find it very hard to believe. You are not EA or Valve or some other big giant company where they got loads of money. You are (supposedly) a new company that barely anyone has heard of. So $2,000,000 would be a large sum to you.

So to think that your investors have decided to let you spend millions of dollars of their money and just give it for no return to people, on the hopes that maybe/maybe not two years from now your indie game will start making money and cover up ALL the costs that were required to make the game, ship the thousands of copies to gamers, AND THEN ALSO make profit... that just seems far fetched to me.

So please understand why I am a bit skeptical (for now) of this "deal"

Vindola,

Completely understand your perspective. If you would like, shoot me an email at launch[at]killtheinfected.com and I'll add you to the pre-order email list so you can stay up to date on the game / company, or alternatively, "Like" us on Facebook @ Facebook.com/killtheinfected

That's why you're in the console section :P

I view the forum by recent activity, not by subforum. I saw the word free, so I clicked. And with so many Zombie games out there, it's getting increasingly difficult to do something original and innovative.
