Ubuntu 16.04 Serial install

I have a old server that I would like to install ubuntu server on, unfortunately it only has a serial rj45 on it and no on-board graphics.

 

I have followed this tutorial with no luck: https://github.com/ynkjm/ubuntu-serial-install

 

Anyone know how? Or have a serial iso they could provide?

 

If this isn't possible are there any other linux distros like Ubuntu that support serial installs?

"serial rj45" -- Are you sure you're not mixing things up? I've never heard of a single device using RJ45 for serial-connections.

oh you haven't worked with enough switches then.
