I have 4 strips, one for each side with the NZXT Hue+ and It was definitely worth it. They can be very bright, but with the software you can turn it down and change the color. Very cool. Worth it if you have the extra $ to spare.

blinded may be an exaggeration, but yeah, using too much LEDs can defenately turn your case into a lighting fixture..

i have a case with about 3m of RGB LED strips in it, i made a picture of it during daytime:

thats what you want to avoid :P

one LED strip will be a nice effect, two make all your hardware glow like you're in a neon night club, more than that will probably overpower all sense of color in your build. (which, in before mentioned case, was kind of the idea..)

So for example this NZXT Hue+ Extention Kit (AC-HPL03-10) can be costumized to change color  in any pattern i give it? Like say i want to make it glow with the beat of a song , can it accomplish that ?

What you have linked there Is the Extention kit not the Hue+ Itself. Here: https://www.gameexplorers.gr/6047737/nzxt-black-hue-advanced-pc-lighting-ac-hueps-m1.html

It comes with 4 magnetic strips. You will need a molex connector to power it, along with an extra USB header on your motherboard for the data connection.

From the NZXT Cam Software you can set it to a bunch of different modes. Each LED is controlled seperately, so you can get some really sick effects. And yes, it can move to music, although I have found that its not that great.

Here is a good demo:

Just any power adapters if needed.

RGB is generally 3x expensive because each "LED" is actually three LEDs, one for each color. So that would be $30. The Hue+ Comes with four strips, but they are better than regular led strips. Each LED has a small chip inside, this allows each individual LED in the strip to be its own color. Plus a few bucks for the controller, its not that bad a deal. Like I said, worth it if you have the extra cash to spare. Definitely something to expect in higher end builds, but not worth the money you've spent less than $70 on any components in the system. Make sense?
