Are integrated graphics really matter?

Integrated graphics are practically useless with a dedicated GPU installed unless you need to install more monitors than supported by your dGPU, in which case you can connect them to the motherboard and run them from the iGPU.

Integrated got pretty good over the last years though.

I remember when you could run the amd apu and gpu in crossfire.

No, it doesnt help with gaming performance. In the past AMD iGPUs can use dual graphics mode with a low-end AMD dedicated graphics card to push more frames, but they ditched it in newer CPU platforms and graphics cards.

No. Integrated Graphics is disabled when a graphics card is present.

I used to run 1 monitor off iGPU and 1 off GPU. After someone on LTT enlightened me I learned that using both put more strain on the GPU than running both monitors directly off the GPU.

Not on Intel they ain't. Can't speak for AMD but I doubt it.

"Do integrated graphics help performance" was the original question. Yes you can run your games on only igpu, but that yields a much worse performance, than on just the gpu, i dont see any reason to use igpu for your games when you have a gpu. The original question was can you use the igpu with the gpu to gain performance, not lose it.

 Also you seem do not know how to use the letter ä.
