Good DIY Security system?

I've had Xfinity home for the past year or so, and it's been okay but my contract is going to be up soon and I'm just going to pay for internet instead of internet/tv/home security. Right now I'm trying to find a nice security system that works with the Google assistant, Nest, and the August smart lock, and I'm coming up short. Any recommendations?

Also, one thing I did like about using Xfinity home is that I could lock my door, set my thermostat, and arm my system all from the Xfinity home app. Are there any systems that offer the same functionality?

I've never tried it, but since August works with Nest, why not see if you'd like the Nest security system?  At least then you'd be guaranteed compatibility.
