What size screw driver for m.2 screw?

So the m.2 screw on my motherboard is too tight to remove by finger, even though it looks like a thumbscrew.

The standard #2 Philips is too big. Is it just a #1, or do I need a precision screw driver?

Yeah I kind of have a feeling that's what it is too. What a PITA. They could at least have used something common like a #1, or at the very least not over tightened it

#0 is common on small electronics. If you don't have one, pick up an ifixit pro toolkit. I have found it invaluable.

The iFixit bits are actually kinda crap. You don't realize it until you've used something that's good quality.  This is one I recommend. Besides the build quality being better, the bits are a lot longer. The iFixit ones aren't long enough a lot of the time when you're working on laptops. 

 

PH0 is the least likely to strip an M2 screw. A PH1 will work though, as long as you're careful. The screws for m.2 drives are actually standard M2x3 screws for future reference.
