Hello,

I’m currently working on my first custom loop and I’m having a lot of difficulty filling the loop. As seen in the linked video, the water level in the reservoir will not drop even though the loop clearly isn’t full, look at the top tube and you’ll see what I mean. When I first filled the reservoir and turned on the pump the water level dropped like expected. The second time did nothing to drop the levels. Can someone please tell me what’s wrong? This is getting frustrating :(

Is your pump running at full speed?

The flow rate looks very low.

If it was running at full speed it would be able to push almost all of the air out easily.

The pump is powered by a molex so I’d assume it’s at full speed. There is a speed switch on the bottom of the pump but the pump cover on the pump res combo makes it inaccessible

Well that's a problem..........

Does it not have any holes on the bottom for access? Maybe you mounted it wrong?

There is a hole on the bottom it’s just that there’s this piece showing off the logo, it can be removed but I don’t think I can without draining the system and taking the pump off the reservoir, pretty inconvenient if you think about it lol.

So I found a way to get to the speed switch and I can confirm it’s running at full speed

Ok well that sucks...

I guess your only option is to close the reservoir and tilt the PC case around until the water starts flowing well.

I think I’ve gotten it mostly fixed and I don’t see any air bubbles in the tubing and water blocks but I don’t know about my radiators, especially the top. I can’t tell if they’re full or not or if they have a lot of trapped air. Are tiny little micro bubbles normal to see in the tubing?

Yeah those should go away in a few days or weeks.
