gaming and ram

hiya guys an girls would love some input from you ppl i would like to know how much ram i should go for i  play triple A games and download and browse and sometimes have a movie running etc. would 16gb of ddr4 be enough ?

If you can, just get 16 right away and be done with it. I'm 100% certain that you will not need 32, but 8 might not be enough (talk to chrome).

I would personally just go for 16gb in any kind of gaming PC these days , but RAM isn't free so you might want to try 8 and upgrade if you need it.

In the long run just buy 16 GB pack of ram. Then you don't have to upgrade it any time soon.

Browsers eat 4gb+ of ram by themselves.  Ive got ~10 tabs up and FF is chewing on ~5gb.

 

12gb minimum for gaming+browsing, but ends up with a small performance hit in memory bandwidth.  So a 16gb kit is where you should be looking.

Use CPU-Z and get a screenshot of the memory tab.

 

Then find memory that matches the speed (2133/2400/etc) and timings (15-15-15-36,16-16-16-38,etc).
