when i am webrowsing especially when watching youtube videos in 1080p (sometimes 1440p or 4k) i see usage spikes of about 70% and a mddlevalue usage of about 15% i noticed because the cpu fan gets notacibly louder my cooler is an intel stock thermal soulutin from 2007 with a stronger foxconn fan atatched to it for better performance but mostly because i broke the original fan

and i was too cheap to buy a better cooler for my i5 8600k

my config is a mishmash of poor choises and impropper balancing

the cpu is a core i5 8600k the gpu is an evga gtx 650 (my cusin gave me because he upgraded) and the psu is a corshair hx 1000 (i baught because it was on sale and will never have to buy a nother psu) also my 2 monitors have a resouluton of 1280 x 1024

GPU acceleration helps with certain tasks, like video playback.

if you turn it off then what do you think rendering your browser? if it's not being offloaded to GPU then CPU is going to do the work, and believe it or not, browsing actually more intensive than gaming, specially if you doing multi tabs for many media websites.
