Nexus 9 wont charge while turned on

Hi,

Recently i have started to use my Nexus 9 again and i seem to have problems with its charging. For some reason i can only charge when the tablet is turned off. When its on it has recognised that it is connected to a charger but it does not charge. I can see the battery life slowly going down  when it says its connected. I currently haven't used it for about two years but wanted to switch back to android.

Hoping any of you can help me out

Many thanks

Indeed. Don't use a weak 5V/1A phone charger. Use the original charger it came with. Tablets typically have more powerful ones. I know iPads come with 10W adapters for instance.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

Unfortunately  i couldn't find the original charger so i'm currently using one that i bought a while ago i had just looked at the output and says 5VDC. I'm guessing this isn't powerful enough.

Thanks. I think i'll have to buy the original charger again as i currently can't find it. Hopefully that fixes the issue.
