250gb vs 120gb ssd for win 7 ultimate

120 is enough for just so, but if you want a game or a program on it it does start to fill up faster, I would recommend a 256 GB if want to out other stuff on it or want it to last awhile before upgrading, of course my recommendation is based on you having the money for 256GB.

Hell, 60GB would be enough. You wouldn't have a lot of room for much ELSE on the SSD, but the Windows install isn't that huge. I don't remember what the final number is, but it can't be much more than 20GB or so. So 120GB would more than suffice. But, like JohnnyGrey said, if you have the budget for it, you may as well get the 256GB. Or 250GB if there's a good deal, you won't miss that 6GB.

My 256GB drive can fit Windows 8.1 64-bit, Arma 3, Battlefield 3, and a few hours worth of ShadowPlay recordings (1080p60 MP4s). It wasn't worth the cost for that usage, I would have gone with a 120GB drive and a large HDD given the choice now.

 

To answer your question, yes, it should be enough (depending on which OS programs you'll be using, but you'll more than likely be fine).
