Ultrawide recommendations?

LordPineapple

Hey guys,

I want to upgrade to a Ultrawide monitor but I can't decide on what monitor to get, I see all the features and problems of some monitors (Like backlight bleed) and other things and it all makes me kind of lost on what to do.

I want it to be at least 1440p (3440x1440p) because im looking to upgrade to a 1080ti or equivalent soon. I also don't play any competitive games like Overwatch/DOTA/LEAGUE etc. I mostly play RPG's like Skyrim, Fallout, Mass Effect, Kingdom Come: Deliverance or strategy games like Stellaris, Civ 5/6, Hearts of Iron etc. So I don't really know what I need in terms of refresh rates or features like G-Sync. Can anyone help?

Not really. This is one of Asus's best monitors and I don't think there will be backlight issues. You can also get something from LG if you think this monitor isn't good.

Doesn't it have a lot of backlight issues though?

I returned two of them because of backlight bleeding and finally ended up with the Samsung C34H890 that has a VA panel.  The Samsung is still a 100Hz, 3440x1440 panel but it's half the price and there's no noticeable bleeding.

A good suggestion, Thanks :)
