So I'm trying to watch Netflix in at least 1080p, because the most chrome displays is 720p. However, whenever I boot the Netflix app or Netflix on Microsoft Edge, it makes my computer stutter. Now, this thing can handle waay more than Netflix (specs in bio) and for some reason it still wants to stutter. Anyone know a fix to this?

I have had this issue before with my R9 380.

From what I understand it is entirely driver related. Either your drivers have gotten corrupt or the Nvidia Drivers have borked.

Try and older Driver version or update (whichever applies to you)

How fast is your internet connection? That’s odd for Netflix to stutter because a ULV core i5 with an iGPU is able to handle 1080p or even 4K streaming.

It's not even a matter of internet connection. And even then, I have 370 up and down. It's just that my entire computer stutters when I have netflix open on edge or the windows store app.

I can't help with Edge or the Windows 10 Netflix app but I can offer a workaround.

A while back a software dev on reddit figured out how to force 1080p playback on 'unsupported devices', and wrote a Chrome extension for it (someone has also ported it over to Firefox).

Netflix may fix this someday but as of now it's still working
