Little question here:

I'm thinking about getting some new fans for both my case and my CPU cooler (Define Mini and Cooler Master 412S) (all stock fans atm)

My case needs 2 front intake and 1 top + 1 back outtake. My CPU just 1, either push or pull.

Corsair SP120 seems the best choice, because they are A LOT cheaper than the noctua's here..

For the cpu i need a PWM fan, right? I'm not sure..

Any help would be great  :)

PS: I have a Bitfenix Recon Fancontroller

Why not go with Spectre pros?

I find corsair fans to be loud.
Also, if you are using a fan speed controller get the non-PWM version. You'd save more cash.

doesn't a PWM controller give more flexibility? e.g a non PWM controller would only control the amount of electric current going towards the fan where as a PWM controller may also detect the fan speed and use that for more accurate speed control instead of only sending a equal amount of electric current towards the fan?

Hmm. Not really.

PWM is pretty ok, but it degrades fans over the kind run. I prefer 3 pin connectors cause you need a consistent flow.

PWM is sends pulses to control speed, 3 pin lowers voltage. Between the two I'd go for 3 pin.

More versatile, wider range of fans, cheaper and generally more useful.

Most Fan speed controllers are keyed to 3 pins anyway.

If you care about silence you should save your money for some good fans in the first place instead of buying some medium fans. I'd suggest the noctua if you don't mind the color and if you do, go bequiet.

If you're not about silence, then the sp 120s are a reliable option.

3 pin for the case. PWM (4pin) for the CPU cooler

who cares...
