Hello, everyone.

I'm thinking of buying a second hand HDD on our equivalent to craigslist and the guy sent me the disk report of said HDD but I can't really interpret all the S.M.A.R.T. data :D

Can anyone give me a hand, please? Thanks!

Here's a printscreen of the data.

How much are you actually saving? Buying HDDs second is almost universally never recommended.

Just now, Natasha22 said:

there is a 1 write error .

Thats raw write error rate, not the amount of write errors, and depending on the model of the drive, can mean nothing.

This value isn't normally a indicator for failure, and the raw value is often meaning less, and fixed by the drives ecc.
