So i want to buy a ryzen processor , shall i wait till release of Ryzen 2? Would ryzen 2 processors have same price as that of ryzen 1 ?

I would like to think so but if you review the pricing trend since launch they really have gone down quite a bit (1800x was $499 now $329) I don't know how much further they could go, but I like you am hoping that they do as I'm planning a threadripper build!

I have 3 pcs but i am building a budget build for friend with r3 1200. Would there be a new chip in the price range of r3 with better preformance ?

I saw an article on this topic this morning : https://www.ginjfo.com/actualites/composants/processeurs/processeur-ryzen-amd-annonce-des-baisses-de-prix-bilan-20180320

It's in French and there are no sources though.

I feel like it would be better to get the newer APU since it's better value. Or unless you found a deal for a 1200.

Daily Driver: Redmi Book Pro 14 - Core Ultra 7 155H | 32GB/1TB

Primary Desktop: NCase M1 - Ryzen 7 7800X3D/RX 6950XT | 32GB/2TB

Travel PC: Fractal Terra - Ryzen 7 5800X/RTX 3060 Ti | 16GB/1TB

I have too many computers. List here.

There already is the Ryzen 3 2200G which is the successor of the Ryzen 3 1200.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

Ryzen 2 CPUs will be closer to Ryzen 1 current MSRP, at least at launch. Ryzen 1 prices are already down in anticipation of imminent Ryzen 2 launch, so don't expect radical declines around Ryzen 2 launch. Deals on Ryzen 1 may become more frequent, though.
