I have never posted to a forum so I am not sure if this is even the best place to post questions, but am hoping someone can help out. Currently working on learning to get RAID set up. I make it to installing Windows but when I go to install drivers they don't show up on my flash-drive. I appreciate any help even if its just sending me in the right direction.

I won't try and help you with raid because I've never used it. But as for the files not showing up on your flash drive perhaps they are in a zipped folder that you need to unzip first?

If you're interested in a product please download and read the manual first.

Don't forget to tag or quote in your reply if you want me to know you've answered or have another question.

First of all, welcome to the forum! :D

The question is why do you want RAID?

Lots of people want to do it because "RAID, amirite", but usually there's another technique that's better fit for the job.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

Thanks! It's about the learning experience most of all for me. My goal is to work in the computer industry and I am working on my own PC to get as much hands on as possible.

OK! First lesson for forum use. ALWAYS use the quote button when you want to make sure the person sees your reply. This will give them a notification (it's like being tagged).

Now:

What version of windows?

What kind of raid are you going?

Does your mobo support RAID?

Want to know which mobo to get?

Okay, thanks for that. Windows 10 Home, RAID 0, and yes. I get the array set up and initialize the Windows install, then to the screen where I select the drive to install onto and I need to install the drivers. I'm not sure if I am using the wrong files or what, it just says no drivers detected on my thumb drive.

What drivers did you put on there?

And did you look in your mobo manual for a how-to on installing raid?

Sorry for taking so long, I was making another attempt. I got the drivers installed! But I got an error code after I select the array as my install drive. 0x80300024 I did a cursory Google search for ideas: tried formatting and removing the other drives but still got the same code.
