I need help to slowly upgrade my potato pc. Here are the specs :

- AMD FX-8300

-Gtx 750

-8Gb x1 Ram No brand’

-350w psu 

-2tb hdd 

-no ssd

 

so I would want to upgrade my pc the best way possible. I know that if I want to change my cpu, I need to change absolutely everything except my hdd.

 

What should I do step-by-step?

Are you doing this for gaming, production work or just browsing?

 

If you are doing this for gaming do you notice any performance defecates?

Not a clone though since a fresh start is often beneficial, especially if the HDD has more files on it than the SSD can hold.

^I agree with @ThatFlashCat but cloning from an HDD can cause many issues in the long run so it's best to just to get a fresh install.

DragonTamer1 , mostly game and some production. I sera that my gtx is horrible when I saw the 1050 was WAY better.

For the others with the ssd and hdd, I should buy an ssd to put Windows in it. Could I reset my hdd so I am like in a new PC? 

What should  I do after the ssd?
