look  to decide on a good laptop for school use to have a mac book pro but it is now own by family 

 in the around 500$ range need 8 gb of ram

Acer Swift 3 or Aspire 5. Maybe Lenovo Ideapad 320S 14/15 with 52Wh battery if you can find it. Asus Vivobooks, Dell Inspiron 3000/5000 series, Lenovo Ideapad 320 and HP Pavilions are mediocre. Your budget is low tbh, maybe you can consider used business laptops like Thinkpad T440

it is my dad even  700 give or take is too high he the one who think 1 pc is all you need if is a desktop that is all the need so i have to be low budget

Linus just did a video praising the 8th gen intel laptop cpus for their efficiency without sacrificing the power, but realize you aren't going to be doing a lot more than mmos on intel graphics. If the only options are those two I'd go with the dell

Good build quality and cooling. However it has a bad display, mediocre input devices and OKish battery life.

i found the Aspire 5. and it seem to be a good laptop

That's E15 not Aspire 5. They have difference in build quality and battery life. Aspire 5 is better overall.
