If you got an alienware laptop, used the proprietary egpu dock and  an akitio node (or razer core but eww) you might  be able to crossfire two AMD cards.  Might. You could probably use both at the same time for rendering or mining pretty easily

Why would you want to do that? If you are going for SLI, It doesn't work at all without Nvidias special SLI bridge and even if it did, it will 90% of the time not do anything or even make it worse as almost no games support it.

Maybe for rendering but you'd have to basically code your own OS from scratch that bridges them together through software. Never mind the massive latency increase and speed bottleneck from thunderbolt (no it's not actually very fast as inside a pc between cpu, gpu, and ram things run many times faster and latency is a huge issue.)
