Remote control for PC?

Just wondering if there's even such thing? Mainly because i never watch tv and only watch movies/series on my PC but sometimes im just too lazy to stand up just to play forward or next especially when at night when im watching to fall asleep.

on ebay there are some chinese remotes, they work pretty well and are dirty cheap.

Use TeamViewer, you can connect from your phone to your pc from anywhere in the world. It doesn't lock your pc or anything so you can pretty much use it as a remote control

I think that app is awesome! I'd love to use it on my phone but it just got robbed last week lol. I think i'll just go get that type of remote. Does it have a dedicated button for forward/backward, next/previous pause, stop & volume adjust? Those are the only buttons i'm really aiming for 'cause i'll be using it only when watching downloaded videos/movies.

Hey guys, I use the paid version of the Unified remote app on Android. It works perfectly and with the paid one you get way more remotes / things you can control. Everything from mouse, keyboard, volume, screen mirroring, and even things like a file browser and access to a command prompt. My favorite thing is probably having a dedicated VLC remote to watch my shows and stuff then when I'm ready to crash, I just switch over to the monitor remote and turn off / put my monitor to sleep. The functionality makes the $3 or whatever it was 10000000% worth it.

 

I have also used Teamviewer, Chrome remote desktop, the Microsoft remote app, and a good ole wireless mouse and keyboard. None of them were as fast nor as convenient as the app for the purpose you mentioned. That's mainly what I use my PC for when I'm not playing a game or something and the app really makes it a pleasant experience. Hope this helps. 

Oh and no, they're not paying me or anything lol. I'm just a happy customer.

 

Side note: I read that you said they were robbed? do you mean hacked or something?

I did a few quick searches and didn't see anything but I know it's possible.

If that's the case, I'm sorry to hear that man. Hope you find who took it or just use it as an excuse to go scoop a newer better one!
