Looks interesting, a PCI-e NVMe SSD, anyone know how much slower (if any at all) it would be vs one connected right to the motherboard?

And at the same time, I assume the best use for something like this would be an ultra-fast swap drive? Or is there another use I'm not thinking of?

No performance difference. They are treated the same way by the motherboard, just looks different.
