I have read the steam winter sale is meant to start today (19/12/13) 

Does anyone know if this is true ?

I've heard the rumors, my guess would be 18h in GMT time.

Yeah i can't wait until steam updates at 6pm, unless i isn't today

Steam sales start at 12PM Pacific time and its only 8am Pacific time

Steam is normally updated with sales at 6pm in the UK

I am just saying it's earlier over here

The sale FIRST starts at 12PM Pacific Time being 6PM in UK doesnt matter since you should have to wait 4 more hours when it is 12PM in Pacific time zone

I might hurry up and install SteamOS properly. I would love to see the sales from steamOS. Also, the sale is coming soon. Valve has been releasing a few teasers over the last few days
