So a dude from my town over here in Mexico is selling a gtx 650 for 1000 pesos which is about 50 dlls. Should I go for it, I am new to the PC gaming world and as we all know, GPU prices are crazy, I'm going for a Ryzen build so should i buy the GPU and get a R5 1500x-1600 or just buy an APU?

650 is not worth it for gaming these days. Its so old. You would be better of with a 2400g APU for gaming over a 650.

Yeah unless the GTX 650 is an extreme stop gap (say until new gpus come out in a few months) a 2400G sounds like a much better buy.

Ryzen 2400G isn't too far off from RX 550, which mops the floor with the GTX 650

not even for 50 dlls? so should i just buy an APU or go for a normal Ryzen and look for a cheap GT 1030?

Get the APU truthfully. The 2400g will be the sweet spot for you to starting out.

Thank you, I guess ill follow your tips, ill just play R6S in my APU for the moment and then get a GPU to finally play NIER

NieR Automata has a terrible PC port, though it's playable at 30 fps at 1080p on a 2400G with the settings stripped to the bone (including the global illumination setting which you set via the FAR mod), or near 60 fps at 720p. As terrible a PC port as it is, NieR Automata is a masterpiece and easily my favorite game of 2017 (and 2017 was an epic year for gaming).

Maxing it out at 1080p and getting 60 fps is going to require a pretty strong gpu due to how poor a port it is. I have a GTX 970 and while I could leave the settings adjustable in the game's menu at high, I had to go turn down the global illumination to medium or I'd be constantly dropping frames. You might be looking at GTX 1070 to get 60 fps maxed, it's that bad a port. Make sure you get a good controller too, as it is not a good mouse & keyboard game.

I wouldn't worry too much about maxed graphics. I didn't really notice any difference in image quality playing 100+ hours on my PC at 1080p high settings (GTX 970 @ 1418 MHz / Xeon E3-1231v3 / 16GB DDR3-2400 RAM) vs putting 100+ hours on my PS4 Slim (the game is 900p on the PoorStation), though the framerate was a lot cleaner on my PC (the PS4 Slim often has drops in the mid 40s to low 50s).

If you have a 360 or a PS3 the first Nier is worth picking up also. The gameplay isn't nearly as good as in NieR Automata, though the story (which gives the backstory for NieR Automata) is amazing.
