So I just subscribed and there seems to also be another type of subscription at floatplane.com. This seems to have more content overall so why does the floatplane.com exist? all it seems to have is videos and a comment section? and they are within one cent of eachother. Any clarification would be great thanks.

Floatplane.com is in it's Alpha testing stage.  If you subscribed to it, you should be able to also access the floatplane section here on the forums also(I think).  You can access Floatplane.com if you subscribe to floatplane here on the forum.

When you go to the Floatplane.com site, hit more login options at the bottom and log in with forum account.

Then you will be able to view the site without another subscription.

I'm curious as to how to access these forum pages if you're subscribed to the LMG floatplane.

Once you subscribe through the forum, you have access to both the forum thread for floatplane as well as the Public site. (Floatplane.com)

The new site exists because the current system on the forum is not very smooth, so it will eventually replace it entirely. For now, both systems are being run in parallel to test the new site and let people pay by credit/debit card rather than through PayPal, while still allowing people to use the mostly working forum version if they prefer.

The subscription only transfers one way, so subscribing on the forum gives you access to floatplane.com, but subscribing there doesn't give you access or recognition here.

They should slap big red badge saying site is still in alpha. Like from login page its not clear that site isn't going to be working very well. One of many flaws in how LMG/FPM manages community.
