In the video 2 gamers 1 CPU they required 3 graphics cards for 2 separate machines. But in the 7 gamers 1 CPU they did not need an extra graphics card in addition to the 7 they already had.

Any one have any clue how they managed that? Because Im replicating the 2 gamers 1 CPU but I have no available slots for a third graphics card. 

In the video they didn't mention how they got around that.

 

Build. 

i7 7700k 4.2 ghz 

Gtx 1080 Founders edition.

Rx 570 4gb edition.

24gb ddr4 2133 mhz ram

MSI B250 Mother Board

A ton of storage in various ssds, hhds, m.2 drives ect.

yes they did, it wasjust built into the board.

 

do you have much linux experence?

 

id install fedora.

 

you also have igpu you can use for the 3rd gpu here.

Ah. Didn't know you could use the integrated GPU to do it.

And they didn't use any version of linux. Just unraid.

windows was runnin in a vm.

 

its about the same, i wouldnt do this if you dont have any linux experence.

also in the latest 3 VR machine they just fed the main system just the driver to make it think it had a card even though it doesn't. because technically you don't use that output anyway.
