unifi

Go to solution Solved by beavo451,

The controller does not have to run continuously. Once you set it up, you don’t need to touch it again until you want to make changes. There are certain features that require he controller, but are rarely used in a home environment.

You can can create a backup of the controller and restore from that backup on another device if you want to move the controller.

Not true, if you for example want to use a guest portal it does need to run all the time. unless you have a usg.

Ah sorry, missed it indeed.
What I do want to add is that if you want statistics you need to have it running too.

Personally I have my controller running on my synology nas which seems to work okay :).
