So I'm starting a new build and I was looking at the pricing of the 1080TI and I knew I should have bought my card sooner they were $400 US cheaper just before christmas. So what I'm wondering is since I really don't want to pay 1000 for a 1080TI should I just go with a lower 10 series card or just wait till the next gen comes out in April and see how much they go for. I'm currently running a Duel 960 setup

Well could get some cheap if you jump on some used ones when the new stuff launches. Would still be hard for a good deal for awhile. Really depends on how hard the new cards will be to get from the start and how long you can go without an upgrade.

I'm starting to notice my cards might be dying lately the fans of the air coolers on the cards haven't sound quite right like there about to die then again I'm sure I could replace the stock air coolers with aftermarket ones I'll just lose the RGB lighting effects right?

I'd keep the 960s and wait for new releases. I mean, current cards are so expensive, you shouldnt regret even if they rise for another 20% for whatever reason.

Just strap 120mm case fans onto the heatsink and power them with case fan headers on the motherboard. You can use speedfan to control them in response to GPU temps.

Sorry for this being a little off topic but duel 960s is a real strange set up, hour did you end up with it?

PS, yes you can just replace the air coolers and you'll be fine.

If someone has helped you out on the forum don't forget to give them a reaction to say thank you!
